This workshop is designed for anyone with responsibility for building management and who needs to understand their Health and Safety duties. It will cover Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, COSHH, Working at Height, Manual Handling, Maintenance and Inspection regimes and Risk Assessment.

Introduction to Understanding Impact
This full-day training workshop will introduce you to the key concepts in impact measurement and give you the skills and knowledge to help you measure outcomes of your project or programme. During the workshop, you will have an opportunity to develop a theory of change, consider different methods for gathering evidence and start to build an evaluation plan.
Introduction to Mental Health
This workshop aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills to better educate young people about mental health stigma and discrimination. It is a ready to run session package folder of handouts, lesson plans and information fact sheets about mental health which can then be delivered directly in your organisation.
Introduction to Safeguarding
This course gives staff the tools to recognise child abuse, understand what actions to take and how to refer to their designated person. This is suitable for all staff and volunteers who come into contact with young people.
Lead Safeguarding Officer (Level 3 accredited)
Every organisation working with young people should have a Designated Person. This course provides advanced Level 3 knowledge of child protection helping a Designated Person recognise and know what to do if they believe that a child is at risk. The course aims to provide advanced information on reporting strategies, policies and procedures.
Mental Health First Aid Accredited Training
The Youth MHFA course is an internationally recognised course designed specifically for those people that teach, work, live with or care for young people aged 8 to 18 years. You will learn how to:
- Provide information, tools and techniques to promote a young person’s mental and emotional wellbeing
- Support a young person who might be experiencing mental and emotional distress.
Led by London Youth’s Head of Safety and Safeguarding, this workshop aims at providing you with the information you need to create good Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies.

At the end of the course, participants will have an increased awareness of Health and Safety and be able to identify and manage significant hazards and risks. Topics covered are Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, COSHH, Working at Height, Manual Handling, Maintenance and Inspection regimes and Risk Assessment.
Risk assessments are an essential tool in managing safety effectively. Learn the 5 steps to risk assessment, understand what makes a suitable and sufficient risk assessment and find out some practical tips for writing risk assessments in our 2 hour workshop.
We offer a range of youth work specific leadership and management training – tailored to enable youth work professionals and trustees to develop the leadership necessary to respond to the particular challenges the youth sector is facing. Our leadership courses and seminars cover topics such as managing and engaging stakeholders, leading your youth work organisation through change, governance, diversifying income and future planning.
Introduction to Youth Involvement and Participation
A full day of facilitated sessions and discussions based around four modules to help youth workers improve their skills and confidence in youth involvement, resulting in the creation of a practical plan to help improve youth involvement and participation within organisations.
Building youth-led decision making in your organisation
A full day session to help participating members establish a youth board and/or young trustees to help increase the frequency and scope of youth-led decision making. Youth workers are encouraged to bring one young person to this training where relevant.
