Funded Apprenticeship Training

Applications for Funded Apprenticeship Training have now closed.

London Youth are fortunate to be working with CVC to utilise a portion of their apprenticeship levy to train and upskill youth workers from our member organisations, through fully funded apprenticeship training with a value of up to £9,000.

We are offering places to existing staff from our members, starting this September, to receive dedicated support in achieving a nationally recognised qualification from outstanding specialist training providers whilst remaining in employment.

There has been a steady decline in youth workers taking part in formal training in recent years however a huge increase in demand for specialist skills and knowledge to support young people. Through the introduction of more formal training opportunities for youth workers at no cost, we believe that this is a start to solving the problem.

All the courses listed below have specifically chosen as they are youth work focused and will give the relevant skills, knowledge and behaviour needed for frontline delivery work. We are working with London Progression Collaboration and training providers Forward Trust, Let Me Play and UCAN to utilise their specialist knowledge of the youth sector, being able to provide flexibility to their learners and supporting organisations in developing apprentice learners.

We have put together this information document which outlines the benefits, process and what taking part in an apprenticeship looks like from both as a learner and also a manager. We will be holding Q&A session with all the training providers with details out on this page in the next week so you can be properly informed.

Deadline for applications was Sunday 11th July at 11:59pm.
