Finding the right resource to develop remotely

young people employability

At London Youth we want to support young Londoners in continuing their work on employability. We recognise the huge change that COVID-19 has made to all our daily lives – in particular a young person’s employment journey can feel like it has been put on pause without their say-so and with no control. Despite the current challenges, we firmly believe there are opportunities to work together with our community youth organisations and continue to offer young people the chance to press ahead with their employment journey.

To achieve this:

  1. This page offers a directory of online resources and sessions that both community youth organisations and young people can access remotely.
  2. Be kind to yourself: develop and work when you can but do not judge yourself if you don’t always have the motivation at this difficult time to focus on our future.

We’d also like to hear from any community youth organisation, youth worker or IAG pracititioner that is offering online activity sessions and showcase your great work. You can contact our Employability Team via to discuss featuring your content.

JobShare – Masterclass Video

A big part of our employability work at London Youth is centered around providing young people with opportunities to hear inspiring career journeys from a diverse range of people working across different types of industries and sectors. At this time, it is no longer possible for us to meet this demand with face to face interactions at an employer’s workplace. We are asking people to volunteer their time to create a 5-7 minute masterclass video on a smart phone about their career journey called ‘JobShare’.
