Supporting young Londoners to access the life-changing benefits of the creative arts

Youth organisations have always offered places and spaces for young people to develop and learn new skills through the arts. London has an amazing cultural landscape, and many of the new jobs and opportunities of the future will be in the creative industries. So we will be bringing these things together, to offer young people a high quality, progressive offer in the arts, with active involvement of cultural partners.

In 2018 we will be piloting our new arts programme for the first time in a handful of London Youth member clubs across the city. Our diverse network of community organisations will be supporting young Londoners from all backgrounds to get creative. We’re excited to see young people painting, dancing, making music, writing poetry, performing, creating exhibitions, snapping photos, directing films and more!

Through our arts programme, we aim to:

  • Inspire young people to get creative and develop a lifelong passion for  the arts
  • Give young people opportunities to develop their confidence, resilience, communication skills and other social and emotional capabilities
  • Inspire youth and community organisations to deliver high-quality arts activities for young people
  • Create networks and links that make the arts more accessible to all young people, regardless of their background
