Join #TeamLondonYouth and Run for the 2018 London Marathon to support young people across the capital

London Youth supports and challenges young Londoners to become the best they can be; ensuring they grow up healthy, able to navigate a fulfilling career and make a positive contribution in their communities. We directly support more than 25,000 young people every year offering opportunities in sports, social action, outdoor education and employability and reach tens of thousands more through our network of 280 member youth clubs.

From Haringey Shed, an inclusive youth theatre company in Haringey, to Ignite, a youth club supporting young people involved in gangs and ant-social behavior in Harrow – No matter where you live or work there will be a youth club we support providing young people with the support they need to develop their skills and confidence!

Running London for London Youth – what you need to know
We ask that all our runners raise £2000 to support our work and in return we will provide them with a personalised running vest, opportunities to meet with the rest of the marathon team and come and visit our work and all the support and encouragement runners need to get them through their training, reach their fundraising target and cross the finish line on race day – especially towards the end of the race where London youth manages the mile 25 water station.

I think its great that there is a charity aimed at helping our young people and the fact that I can help raise money for the charity by doing something I love (running) is brilliant!

  • Kieran Tyler

What an amazing day! A little sore this morning, but the sense of achievement should long outlive any of the pain. Thanks to everyone for their incredible support and messages – and to London Youth for giving me this fantastic opportunity, and their support at Mile 25!

  • David Seymour

It is clear that these clubs are a valuable resource in some of the most challenging areas in the Capital and offer a beacon of hope to allow our youngsters the space to fulfil their potential

  • Charlotte Hussey

I am running for London Youth – an amazing organisation that supports young people to reach their potential, whatever their background and whoever they are

  • Petra Velzeboer

Im running for London Youth because “I want every young person to have the chance to connect with a youth worker who can show them opportunities for making their lives better, giving them a chance to contribute their unique perspective and skills to society
