Mario Washington-Ihieme is a Research Assistant at think tank Centre for London. Whilst working there, she has co-authored research on London’s creative and cultural industries, and the barriers facing young creatives from under-represented backgrounds in entering and progressing in the workforce, as well as work on the future of London’s chefs. Prior to her role, Mario completed  an MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology at the London School of Economics. Her research focused on the porosity of borders in urban cities, with a socio-psychological approach to understanding how inner London neighbourhoods impact both the community and the individual resilience of young people. Mario enjoys photography in her spare time, and  enjoys conducting participatory action research projects with young people.
