On 22nd March 2019, Siân Berry AM published London’s Lost Youth Services 2019, an updated version of her research from 2017 and 2018. Based on freedom of information requests, the report lays out the current state of youth services provided by the London boroughs. These budgets have reduced by 46% since 2011/12 and are at least £26.3 million lower.

The report quotes London Youth’s 2017 report, Young People’s Capital of the World? Understanding and responding to young Londoners’ changing needs. Our report highlights the effects that cuts to public services, high cost of living, and changing communities are having for young people, as well as the role of the Mayor of London and other policymakers in addressing these needs.
