Securing emergency fundraising – can London Youth help?
15 April 2020
We understand how challenging it is to be adapting your youth services for online delivery, while trying to secure funding to meet the needs in your communities as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.
In response, we are widening our membership offer to provide an interim bid checking service over the next month.
As a number of funders, including the London Community Response Fund and Sport England release emergency funding, we are offering this service for a four week period from, 15th April to 7th May to help our members to access these funds.
We are offering the service to members (as of 31 March) with a turnover of £250k or less, recognising that smaller organisations are less likely to have in-house fundraising expertise and will have less staffing capacity.
We currently have just over 250 organisations that fall into that income bracket, so we are limiting the offer to one bid per organisation in the four-week period specified.
Please allow five working days from submitting your bid to receiving a response from the team, given we are unclear what the level of demand will be at this point.
The main aim of this bid checking service will be:
- proofing your answers
- verifying your answers cover the questions that funders have asked
- checking numbers
Please note we can only review bids that have been drafted in full. We can then help to ensure you have the greatest chance of success in securing the funding.
If you would like to use this service please email our Fundraising Manager, Emily, with the subject line: Fundraising Support and attach the application you would like to be reviewed.
