Inspired by the RED January campaign and as part of our commitment to supporting young people improve their physical and mental wellbeing, we are launching our first ever RED January Competition.

RED January is a community initiative helping people support their mental wellbeing through physical activity. The idea is to get active every day, to beat the blues away and give people a focus during January, a characteristically tough month.

We are encouraging as many London Youth members as possible to get involved. The winning organisation will receive £1000.00 towards helping young people get active at their organisation.

To enter, you’ll need to complete three simple tasks:

  • Quickly sign-up to the campaign here
  • Complete and submit our Red January Register showcasing how many young people and how many hours they’ve been active for at your organisation during January 2020
  • Submit a photo and a 100-word caption that demonstrates the impact of the RED January Competition at your organisation

Entries must be submitted by Friday 31st January 2020 at 23.59pm to john.jones@londonyouth.org .

You can download the RED January Competition brief here.

Any questions, please contact John Jones, Sports Development Manager – john.jones@londonyouth.org / 07736 619 595.

Alongside the RED January Competition, we are also encouraging all London Youth members to show their support for the #21by21 campaign. As one of 12 national partners, we are championing better mental health awareness for all those working in the community sport and physical activity sector. You can show your support here and keep an eye out for upcoming training opportunities here.
