The London Youth Awards are back!

The annual London Youth Awards are back on Monday 7 November 2022. This year’s event is particularly special: it’s the first face-to-face awards ceremony since before the pandemic.

The London Youth Awards are a unique date in the calendar when the capital’s youth sector comes together to celebrate the impact of youth work and the people who make it happen.

If you’re a member, please look out for an invitation. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

***Nominations are now open | Deadline: 30 September 2022***

Please follow the steps below to nominate your organisation or somebody who works/volunteers at a London Youth member.

We’re excited to introduce our categories for 2022. This year, recognising how much has changed since our last ceremony, we’re launching six brand new categories, with nine awards in total up-for-grabs at the London Youth Awards on 7 November 2022.

Each of these reflects the incredible youth work happening every day in communities all over London.

We’re inviting all London Youth members to nominate your organisation or an incredible young person, volunteer, or youth professional you want to recognise for the work that they do at a London Youth member.

Sounds good, how do I nominate?

Submit your nomination in three easy steps.
  1. Check out our categories and criteria for each award (scroll down to see them!)
  2. Write your nomination by answering three key questions (we strongly recommend doing this on a Word document first!)
  3. Once you’re happy with your nomination, submit it via our easy online form. We’ll also ask you a few questions to make sure we can let you know if your nomination makes the final shortlist

Why should I nominate my organisation or someone for an award?

The London Youth Awards are the only youth work awards for London’s community organisations. We believe in the power of good youth work – that’s why we were founded 135 years ago. By submitting a nomination, you’re helping put the spotlight on youth work, showcasing the people and places that make youth work happen.

Being shortlisted for an award is recognition of the incredible work that you do, and will also get you a guaranteed ticket to our awards ceremony this November.

And if you win then it’s an amazing way to celebrate the work of your organisation and the people behind good youth work.

So whether you’re a small, grassroots organisation, or you’re a charity that’s been operating for years, this opportunity is for you!

You can nominate for more than one award. And all nominations should focus on work done over the last year*. It doesn’t matter if you submitted a nomination, were shortlisted, or won an award at a previous London Youth Awards ceremony.

*Excluding the ‘being there award’ which recognises the adaptability of the youth sector over the past 2½ years
