New partnership to invest £60,000 in community youth organisations
01 February 2017
We are very excited to announce a new partnership for 2017 with London based estate agent Kinleigh, Folkard and Hayward (KFH).
With 40 years’ experience in the London property market, and 60 branches across the Capital, KFH wanted to do more to support the communities they work in every day after being inspired by their KFH colleague Franck who ran the London Marathon for London Youth in 2016.
“When searching for a partner, we wanted a charity that focused on London, tapped into the needs of our capital and resonated with our staff. After meeting the London Youth team and visiting the community centres, we knew London Youth would be the perfect partner for KFH. Our staff are already engaged with the partnership and their local community centres and clubs. We have scheduled a number of fundraising events and days throughout 2017 to help London Youth in their quest to develop the confidence, social skills and interaction of those young Londoners who need it most. At KFH we are all very excited about working with London Youth. Life is busy and amidst all the sales targets, appointments and competition, it is refreshing to know that with our success we are able to add value, contribute and make a difference in a very special way.” Julian Peak, Sales Director at KFH
Working together the partnership will aim to raise more than £60,000 to directly benefit ten of our brilliant members and support youth work across the capital.
“We are so excited to be working with KFH over the next year as their charity partner. This is a great opportunity to showcase the value of good youth work and connect local businesses with community youth organisations situated right on their doorstep. Through the efforts of KFH staff, our members will be able to develop stronger partnerships, raise income for their vital work with young people, and build stronger communities. “We really value our relationship with KFH and are extremely grateful for their support of our work.” Rosemary Watt-Wyness, CEO, London Youth
A team of passionate KFH Ambassadors will help champion the new partnership in their branches and support staff to get involved with their local organisation and undertake a range of fundraising challenges – Emma, Leigh and Elly from KFH are already signed up to take on this year’s London Marathon.
“I’m incredibly proud to be supporting The Avenues through centre visits and sporting activities. We hope to make a difference to as many young lives as possible” Zain Bozai, Sales Manager at KFH Ealing and KFH Ambassador for The Avenues Youth Project
The ten organisations taking part in the partnership represent the huge variety of ways in which community youth organisations are helping to support and challenge young people across the capital to develop their skills and confidence from boxing at Bromley and Downham, developing young leaders at Westminster House and one to one mentoring at South Central Youth.
