11 May 2017
We are delighted to announce that Tania Cohen has been appointed as the new Director of Finance and Resources at London Youth and will join the organisation in July 2017.
Tania has been working and volunteering in charities for over 20 years and joins the youth charity from the Institute of Fundraising where she was Interim Director of Finance & Planning. Prior to this she was Director of Services & Enterprise at Charity Finance Group. She brings diverse skills and has worked in a range of organisations including Charities Evaluation Services, Beanstalk, British Red Cross, Shelter and Crisis UK. Tania has been a trustee for a number of charities and served on the London & South East Regional Advisory Committee for BBC Children in Need.
Tania commented:
“I’m passionate about improving the lives of young people and it’s a privilege to be joining such a distinguished organisation. In a time of increasing need and demand for services and support for young people in London, and cuts to funding for these services, the great contribution of London Youth to the sector and the lives of young Londoners are needed now more than ever. I’m impressed with their track record of work with young people and member clubs and look forward to joining and adding my contribution.”
Rosemary Watt-Wyness, Chief Executive at London Youth, said:
“I am delighted to announce that Tania Cohen is joining us team as our new Director of Finance and Resources. Tania has really interesting and varied experience and, we feel, is also a great fit with our principles. We are really looking forward to welcoming her and working together for young people in London and our members.”
