2023 IS THE YEAR TO GROW YOUR STRENGTHS
Are you a 16–17-year-old, looking to grow your strengths? Sign up for the brand new London-wide NCS community experience through London Youth.
We will work with over 40 of our members in the next 2 years to provide opportunities for over 6,000 young people across London, to engage in local activities that foster skills development, deepen their understanding of the community, and empower them to contribute positively to its improvement.
Why NCS?
Over 800,000 young people have already completed NCS through their away-from-home experience. Although this original experience is still on offer, there are now multiple, brand new, community-level experiences available for you to engage in!
The NCS vision is to have a country of connected, confident and caring citizens where everybody feels at home and their mission is to inspire generations of citizens through shared experiences that develop character and bridge social divides.

What does the NCS programme look like in London?
3 phases across 9 months focusing on 3 different experiences:
Phase 1: 16 hours of life and independent living skills
Phase 2: 16 hours of youth-led social action and community cohesion
Phase 3: 16 hours of employability skills including work experience and an optional enterprise challenge
