London Youth Awards 2023 Nominations

Why?

Youth organisations provide so much to their communities and this is an opportunity to showcase this. 

This could be introducing a totally new activity to get young people to try out something they wouldn’t otherwise take part in, like sports. Or it could be recognising an issue like poor mental health among young people and providing support during sessions to help young people with this. 

We want to recognise the youth organisations that have introduced something new for the young people they work with.  

Our award principles

• We’re not looking for the best-written application. 
• We’re looking for nominations that tell a story and demonstrate impact, backed up by relevant information. 
• Bullet points are absolutely fine. 
• We don’t require or accept any supplementary documentation (e.g. impact reports, imagery, videos, budgets). 
• The awards recognise youth work’s impact on young people – great nominations will include their voices. 

What does it recognise? 

This award is for organisations that have expanded their delivery over the last year to offer something new to young people, beyond their core delivery.

Who?

Organisations that are members of London Youth can nominate themselves. Any individual can nominate organisations that are members of London Youth. 

What to include in your answers?

Good nominations will detail what the new programme or activity was and how young people were engaged in its development. In question one, describe the new activity your organisation introduced and why it was needed. In question two, include evidence of the impact that this has had, e.g testimonials and/or data. We suggest you use question three to outline how young people were involved in the decision to launch a new activity.

The closing date for nominations for the London Youth Awards is 23:59 on Sunday 1st October 2023. Any nominations received after this time will not be considered.
