London Youth Awards 2023 Nominations

Why?

London Youth believes that all young people should have access to outdoor adventure. Too many young Londoners lack the opportunity to leave their borough, let alone visit the great outdoors beyond the city. 

We know that outdoor experiences and activities can be a great leveller for young people. Residential activity allows new relationships to develop between young people and with their youth workers. These trips create intense and long-lasting positive memories. 

We want to recognise the organisations who have made trips away possible in the last year.  

Our award principles

• We’re not looking for the best-written application. 
• We’re looking for nominations that tell a story and demonstrate impact, backed up by relevant information. 
• Bullet points are absolutely fine. 
• We don’t require or accept any supplementary documentation (e.g. impact reports, imagery, videos, budgets). 
• The awards recognise youth work’s impact on young people – great nominations will include their voices. 

What does it recognise?

This award is for an organisation that has taken young people out of their comfort zone to experience and learn new things while away on an adventure.  

Who?

Organisations that are members of London Youth can nominate themselves. Any individual can nominate organisations that are members of London Youth. 

What to include in your answers?

Good nominations will describe what the adventure was, explain why the experience was vital for the young people involved, and demonstrate the impact that it had. Use question one to describe the adventure your organisation went on with young people. In question two, please include evidence of the impact that this has had on young people, e.g testimonials and/or data. We suggest using question three to explain why it mattered to this particular group of young people to take part in an adventure.

The closing date for nominations for the London Youth Awards is 23:59 on Sunday 1st October 2023. Any nominations received after this time will not be considered.
