London Youth Awards 2023 Nominations

Why?

Youth work is at its best when young people are actively involved in its delivery. 

Young leaders are testament to the impact that youth work has on young people. They serve as role models to other young Londoners. 

We want to recognise the young leaders of today who we hope will become the youth sector leaders of tomorrow. 

Our award principles

• We’re not looking for the best-written application. 
• We’re looking for nominations that tell a story and demonstrate impact, backed up by relevant information. 
• Bullet points are absolutely fine. 
• We don’t require or accept any supplementary documentation (e.g. impact reports, imagery, videos, budgets). 
• The awards recognise youth work’s impact on young people – great nominations will include their voices. 

What does it recognise?

This award recognises that young people are not just the beneficiaries of youth work. They play a key role in the work that youth organisations do and in supporting other young people.

Who?

An individual who is aged 25 or under and is employed or volunteers at a member can be nominated by someone else at the same organisation for this award. 

What to include in your answers?

Good nominations will highlight the journey that a young leader has taken and impact that they have had on other young people. Use question one to describe the journey that this young person has been on to become a leader, and how this young person has shown exceptional commitment to supporting their youth organisation or community. Use question two to tell us about the demonstrable impact this young person has had on other young people through taking on a youth leadership role. We suggest you use question three to expand on either question if you need to.

The closing date for nominations for the London Youth Awards is 23:59 on Sunday 1st October 2023. Any nominations received after this time will not be considered.
