London Youth Awards 2023 Nominations

Why?

Volunteers are vital to the existence of all charitable organisations. This award recognises an individual whose voluntary work reflects the incredible contribution made to the capital’s youth sector by volunteers. 

Whether it’s mentoring young people, supporting governance and development, or helping to facilitate sessions with young people, we welcome nominations for all volunteers.

Our award principles

• We’re not looking for the best-written application. 
• We’re looking for nominations that tell a story and demonstrate impact, backed up by relevant information. 
• Bullet points are absolutely fine. 
• We don’t require or accept any supplementary documentation (e.g. impact reports, imagery, videos, budgets). 
• The awards recognise youth work’s impact on young people – great nominations will include their voices. 

What does it recognise?

This award recognises an individual who freely gives their time, knowledge and skills to support community youth work – be that working directly with young people, delivering project(s), or supporting good governance. 

Who?

An individual who volunteers at a London Youth member must be nominated by someone else at the same organisation for this award. 

What to include in your answers?

Good nominations will include quantifiable evidence (eg number of hours) and impact on young people or an organisation. Use question one to tell us how this volunteer has shown exceptional commitment to supporting a youth organisation or young person specifically (e.g. specific activities or support they gave). Use question two to tell us about the demonstrable impact of this person’s volunteering on a youth organisation, young person/people, or project (e.g. include quotes from young people). We suggest you use question three to provide any quantifiable evidence (e.g. number of hours worked) showing the scope of the nominee’s work.

The closing date for nominations for the London Youth Awards is 23:59 on Sunday 1st October 2023. Any nominations received after this time will not be considered.
