London Youth are Looking for a Chair of Trustees – Could it be you?
11 November 2016
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate passion and commitment to supporting and challenging young people to join our diverse trustee board. This is an exciting time for London Youth as we grow our membership, build our existing programme offer and further diversify and grow our funding base. This is an fantastic opportunity to really shape and support a significant, financially-sound youth charity directly working with more than 24,000 young people each year and to lead a committed and diverse Trustee Board.
We asked Louise who sits on our trustee board about her experience as a London Youth Trustee:
“I became a Trustee of London Youth when I met an employee of the organisation who inspired me with his stories of how the organisation supports young people. This coincided with a time in my life when I thought I had more time to ‘give something back’ and be more actively involved in things outside of my immediate work and family. Almost three years later, and I have enjoyed the experience of being a trustee immensely. London Youth is such a well run organisation that we as trustees have complete faith in the executive team. However we are still made to feel, and I certainly do, that we have something of value to contribute to London Youth, and that our input is welcome. It is a very rewarding experience.”
