We are very excited to announce that London Youth has become the first youth infrastructure organisation to achieve the Gold standard of Ambition Quality+.
An investment in quality youth work has always been a core priority for us and we continue to support our members to better understand and improve their own offer to young people through the London Youth Quality Mark.
The achievement of this award recognises the way that we structure and deliver our own support to youth clubs and young people.
By going through the Ambition Quality+ process we are really practicing what we preach!
Rachel Smith, Head of Quality and Training at Ambition said:
“By achieving Ambition Quality, this organisation has made an ongoing commitment to quality improvement. They have demonstrated their approach to quality through an evidence-based portfolio and ultimately ensure the best possible service for young people.”
Rosie Ferguson commented:
“We were delighted to be recognised as operating at Gold Standard by Ambition. We know there is much we can still do to improve, but the process really helped us identify our strengths and show us where we can do better still. We’re very grateful to the John Lyon’s Charity, City Bridge Trust, City & Guilds, and the many other partners who have helped us on our own learning journey and equipped us to support great youth work.”
Invest in Quality
Today we also launch the findings from the independent evaluation of our London Youth Quality Mark, which reveal that despite the harsh financial climate, such accreditation schemes do help youth clubs and community organisations to improve services, access vital funding and increase their influence amongst local stakeholders.
