Brief:An activity to explore what others may be going through

Equipment: Paper, pen

Step by Step

  1. Ask the young person to think about what causes us to feel worried, we can do activities to help us. Watch the video about Circles of control: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mw6M-0_Q7I
  2. Invite the young person to do the activity from the video.
  3. Discuss with the young person how understanding what you can and can’t control can help you feel better.
    – How do you feel when you have worries?
    – Does understanding your worries make you feel better?

Things to Consider



Understanding the things we can control can help us manage and cope those things that we can’t. It can help us recognise where stress is misspent on things we cannot change.
