Having a thought-out strategy and knowledge of social media can help an organisation boost its brand as well as support for its cause. An effective use of social media can minimise the strain on resources while increasing awareness of the organisation. This training session uses a mix of theory and practical exercises to help delegates understand why social media is important and how to improve the quality of their online interactions. They will learn how to build relevant content, target correct audiences, build engagement with audiences and evaluate their content against their business objectives,

Learning outcomes

  • Understand the relationship between technology and people’s behaviour that drives all digital activities and define their marketing goals and objectives
  • Understand the reason behind multipurpose content and how to create different types to communicate to different audiences and the importance of good storytelling when doing so
  • Know how to engage with their audiences through knowledge of trending topics and developing a social media personality for the organisation
  • Measure and evaluate the online content reduced against the aims of the organization and improve audience engagement

Important information about training:

  • You can book a maximum of 2 people per organisation for an individual training.
  • Online training is interactive, you must have connection to a microphone and cameras will be encouraged to be switched on to facilitate discussion and engagement during the session and/or in breakout rooms.
  • Training Cancellation Policy – if you can no longer attend a training then please let us know at least working 3 days before the training so we can offer this training to someone on the waiting list. Cancellations made 2 working days or less before a scheduled training course may be subject to a penalty.
  • We operate a waiting list for this training. If you find that a training is full and still want to attend, please email the Membership Development Support Officer. We will contact you directly before the training if there is space.
