Safeguarding and Safer Culture Network
23/06/2022, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Safeguarding and Safer Culture Network
This network is brand new at London Youth and has been created to bring together designated safeguarding leads, youth practitioners and relevant stakeholders to share how we support young people to be safe from harm. At a time when we are slowly coming out of a pandemic and young people are being exposed to increasingly complex risks of harm, we are bringing youth organisations together to share experiences, insights and useful tools with each other and learn best practice. You will be able to share your experience and thoughts through interactive discussions and have the opportunity to network with youth organisations across London.
We are very excited to be joined by Tom Burke who brings with him a wealth of experience in safeguarding to lead the network and give updates law, policy and practice. Our first session will look at developing an effective safeguarding policy for your organisation. Please bring your organisations safeguarding policy with you and join us as we look at what makes an effective policy and share useful insights, tips and tricks. To close we will be asking you what you would like to discuss in the future as we want this to be a space where your voice is amplified and the topics are relevant to you.
