Risk Assessment

Risk Assessment Training is a key Health and Safety requirement for any organisation. The course helps you to understand each of the key steps of a risk assessment, including how to identify risks, manage hazards and determine the likelihood of harm, so that you are confident in carrying out a risk assessment for the activities you deliver and in your own premises.

Session Objectives:

  1. Understanding the legal requirements for organisations.
  2. Understanding ‘Consent’.
  3. Understanding the risk assessment process.
  4. Get familiar with risk assessment terminology.
  5. Understanding and considering other relevant factors when conducting risk. assessments, such as financial, transport, and insurance arrangements.
  6. Understanding the necessary arrangements and research required when using. partnership, host organisations, and other providers.
  7. Conducting evaluation, review and debriefing.
  8. Developing contingency plans in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Important information about training:

  • You can book a maximum of 2 people per organisation for an individual training.
  • Online training is interactive, you must have connection to a microphone and cameras will be encouraged to be switched on to facilitate discussion and engagement during the session and/or in breakout rooms.
  • Training Cancellation Policy – if you can no longer attend a training then please let us know at least working 3 days before the training so we can offer this training to someone on the waiting list. Cancellations made 2 working days or less before a scheduled training course may be subject to a penalty.
  • We operate a waiting list for this training. If you find that a training is full and still want to attend, please email the Membership Development Support Officer. We will contact you directly before the training if there is space.
