All members get access to free training, networks and events. Our events are accessible to anyone who works or volunteers with a member youth organisation through London services. Professional Boundaries

This essential course is for all workers to understand their responsibility around professional boundaries when working directly with young people in groups.
Overview
To explain and understand why it’s important for staff to behave professionally and promote safety for groups. Using practical examples from a range of youth work delivery settings.
Benefits and learning outcomes to you and the organisation
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- identify professional behaviour for staff which promotes safety for Individuals and groups
- explain why its important to set boundaries for young people
- give examples of boundaries which could be set to promote safety for individuals and groups
- explore challenges in boundary enforcement in a range of youth work settings
- Understand legal responsibilities impacting youth workers when at work
Important information about training
You can book a maximum of 2 people per organisation on a training session. Online training is interactive, you must have connection to a microphone and cameras will be encouraged to be switched on to facilitate discussion and engagement during the session and/or in breakout rooms.
Training Cancellation and No-show Policy – if you can no longer attend a training, please let us know at least working 3 days before. Cancellations made 2 working days or less before a scheduled training course may be subject to a penalty.
