All members get access to free training, networks and events. Our events are accessible to anyone who works or volunteers with a member youth organisation through London services. Introduction to systems change and how to use it for governance, with a strong equity, diversity and inclusion lens

The first half will cover the basis of systems change theory as follows:
◌ Defining terms–what is a system? What is systems change?
◌ Understanding systems change as a process and outcome
◌ Introducing systemic practices wheel
◌ Different roles of a systems changer
◌ Q&A and reflection
The second half of this training is very practice-oriented and focused on governance. It takes the form of strategic questions any board of trustees and/or senior leaders could use to practice strategic oversight with a systems lens while maintaining a focus on equity, diversity and inclusiveness for systems change.
Key learning outcomes
By the end of the training, we hope the funding committee will:
- Have a basic but clear understanding of what systems change theory and practice is
- How to use systems change to provide strategic oversight as part of their role and remit.
- Better understand and support programmes that have are designed and implemented with strong systems change and equity focus.

Important information about training
You can book a maximum of 2 people per organisation on a training session. Online training is interactive, you must have connection to a microphone and cameras will be encouraged to be switched on to facilitate discussion and engagement during the session and/or in breakout rooms.
Training Cancellation and No-show Policy – if you can no longer attend a training, please let us know at least working 3 days before. Cancellations made 2 working days or less before a scheduled training course may be subject to a penalty.
