Inclusion and the Arts CPD Training

5 October, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

As active youth sector professionals, how can we support young people to engage in the arts and make young Londoners feel that they too can enter a gallery, sit in a theatre audience or make their dreams of a creative career into a reality?

Activities like dance, spoken word, theatre and visual art are very important to young people, but many are missing out on the opportunity to express themselves through the arts, and young people of colour from lower socio-economic backgrounds and young people with disabilities face bigger barriers.

This training is delivered by Sound Connections. Since 2002, Sound Connections has worked in partnership to strengthen the music sector, bridge gaps in provision and deliver landmark music programmes. Sound Connections exists to create change, working across the music community to achieve inclusion, equity and social justice with young people.
