Part 1 – Fundraising For Creative Arts Delivery CPD Training

Generating funding for activities that engage young people in the arts often requires youth organisations to get creative too.
We know that activities like dance, spoken word, theatre and visual art are very important to young people, and that opportunities to be creative can have a transformative impact. Perhaps your young people have a passion for music and would thrive with access to a safe and modern music studio. Or maybe they like to get their hands on anything creative, but paying for artists and materials is outside your current budget. You might have even delivered drama or dance sessions before and want to continue them so young people keep benefitting from having fun with friends, which is great for their mental health and wellbeing!
This two-part interactive session delivered by Fundraising Action will cover how to treasure hunt for funders and supporters and, once identified, how to connect with them via a compelling, emotive and memorable bid or proposal. It will help attendees to build up their individual fundraising toolkits with various concepts, including the social psychology behind the presentation of crisis and urgency in fundraising campaigns and what do funders really want to see in your bids.

Important information about training:
- You can book a maximum of 2 people per organisation for an individual training.
- Online training is interactive, you must have connection to a microphone and cameras will be encouraged to be switched on to facilitate discussion and engagement during the session and/or in breakout rooms.
- Training Cancellation Policy – if you can no longer attend a training then please let us know at least working 3 days before the training so we can offer this training to someone on the waiting list. Cancellations made 2 working days or less before a scheduled training course may be subject to a penalty.
- We operate a waiting list for this training. If you find that a training is full and still want to attend, please email the Membership Development Support Officer. We will contact you directly before the training if there is space.
