We are working in partnership with the Directory for Social Change to host training on improving your overall organisation. This training is free for members of London Youth.

Courses run by DSC are widely recognised. London Youth has worked in partnership with DSC to specifically tailor each session for youth organisations wanting to improve their overarching practices and procedures. We highly recommend attending, especially if you are working on any level of the Quality Mark.

Duties of a Trustee

Friday 19th October, 9:00-12:00pm

Essential training for new and existing trustees, during this session we provide important information that underpins the trustee role within your organisation. The session supports the development of charity trustees who want an understanding of the essentials of being an effective trustee. The session is also useful for staff in charities that need to know what trustees do and the role of a trustee.


Mitigating Risk and Risk Management  

Friday 19th October, 12:00-5:30pm

An introduction to the; tools, techniques, policies, and procedures we must have in place to effectively manage risk. This training session introduces methods of identifying and dealing with the key risks that may affect our organisations.


Starting to think about Strategic Planning

Thursday 1st November, 9:00-12:00pm

The purpose of this training is to introduce the process of thinking about what strategy is and why it is so important to how we manage and run our organisations. The session meets the needs of those new to developing strategy and those who also want to build their understanding or use a wider range of skills and techniques when planning strategically.


Introduction to Business Planning

Thursday 1st November, 12:00-5:30pm

The process of developing and implementing a business plan is fundamental to the planning process of your charity / organisation.  This session introduces key elements of the business planning process.
