Supported Application Scheme

The Scheme offers eligible undergraduate applicants to the School a free application, advice, guidance, and invitations to workshops, events, and performances offering valuable support through the audition and interview process.

“It’s allowed me to see shows, hear from students, and come to the school on multiple occasions. It’s bridged the barrier that I once saw between myself and Guildhall, which has now allowed me to approach my auditions with so much more confidence, knowing that I’ve attended and been given these sessions.”

There have been a couple of changes to the Scheme this year, notably:

  • The addition of a direct application route, which ensures that eligible young people who aren’t currently at school/college or working with an organisation are still able to access the support. This route requires applicants to submit evidence of their eligibility, and so if young people in your organisation are interested, I would advise still using the referral route where possible, which enables quicker processing!
  • Amendments to the eligibility criteria.
  • Applicants are no longer capped at two free applications across any number of years – this has been increased to three free applications (only one free application per year).

Further information on the Scheme, including eligibility and the application process, can be found by clicking here. Please do share with anyone who will find this useful. The deadline to apply to the Scheme for Acting courses is 17th December 2020, and for all Production Arts courses is 13th January 2021.
