The National Youth Agency (NYA) have confirmed with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) that, despite new restrictions in England, the youth sector is being treated as an essential service and services can continue as before so long as organisations are COVID-19 secure to NYA guidance standards. You can find out more here or read our summary of the Amber Readiness Level guidance for the youth sector.

The new restrictions

As of Monday 14th September in England, social gatherings of more than six people are prohibited, except where they all live together or are part of the same support bubble. Exceptions exist for work-related and some organised activities. You can find the Government guidance here.
