The Young Londoners' Participation Network

Encouraging knowledge sharing amongst over 800 youth participation workers in London

The Young Londoners' Participation Network (YLPN) is coordinated by a partnership of London Youth and the Greater London Authority. Both organisations strongly champion children and young people’s participation, as well as supporting the needs and development of participation workers across the capital.

The network meets face-to-face at FREE quarterly meetings hosted at City Hall. Each meeting has a theme, so attendees can learn more about what are the opportunities and lessons coming out from participation projects and experts working in these areas. In the last year we have held meetings on the topics of employability and apprenticeships, sexual health, volunteering and London 2012. As well as being a great source of new approaches happening on the ground, these meetings also provide members with a chance to network and share what they are upto, as well as any projects or opportunities for collaboration or involvement.

You can sign up for our next set of meetings at the bottom of the page.

As a member, you will also receive a free Young Londoners' Participation Network monthly e-bulletin which circulates information about opportunities and events that are available for practitioners and young Londoners. You can download a copy of our latest bulletin from the menu on the right.

Membership to the network is free and open to anyone who works regularly with young people. To join the network, please send an email to ylpn@londonyouth.org.uk.
