I think its great that there is a charity aimed at helping our young people and the fact that I can help raise money for the charity by doing something I love (running) is brilliant!arrow
Join #TeamLondonYouth and Run the 2017 London Marathon to support young people across the capital
London Youth supports and challenges young Londoners to become the best they can be; ensuring they grow up healthy, able to navigate a fulfilling career and make a positive contribution in their communities. We directly support more than 25,000 young people every year offering opportunities in sports, social action, outdoor education and employability and reach tens of thousands more through our network of 280 member youth clubs.
From Haringey Shed, an inclusive youth theatre company in Haringey, to Ignite, a youth club supporting young people involved in gangs and ant-social behavior in Harrow – No matter where you live or work there will be a youth club we support providing young people with the support they need to develop their skills and confidence!
Running London for London Youth – what you need to know
We ask that all our runners raise £2000 to support our work and in return we will provide them with a personalised running vest, opportunities to meet with the rest of the marathon team and come and visit our work and all the support and encouragement runners need to get them through their training, reach their fundraising target and cross the finish line on race day – especially towards the end of the race where London youth manages the mile 25 water station.
To sign up we ask that interested runners complete the form below or get in touch with our fundraising officer Holly.
Did you enter the ballot?
Please do come and sign up for a place with us just in case your ballot entry is not successful – we also support all runners who are taking part with their own ballot place in just the same way as a charity place runner – it’s the more the merrier at #TeamLondonYouth
