My Hindleap Appeal

Hindleap Warren offers adventure, learning and development to over 10,000 young people every year. Many of the young people who visit Hindleap wouldn’t otherwise get the opportunity – especially young people from disadvantaged areas and young people with disabilities

But the availability of outdoor education is under threat: many outdoor centres have closed; young people’s educational needs are changing; and Hindleap’s facilities need investment.

That’s why, after a major consultation with the young people, teachers, and youth workers who use the Centre we launched My Hindleap.

My Hindleap is about guaranteeing gold standard outdoor education for 100,000 young people over the next ten years.

We’re looking to fundraise £1.15 million to create a new generation of activities, refurbish our swimming pool, invest in our 40 year old staff accommodation and make Hindleap even more accessible to young people with disabilities. Around 18 months into our fundraising efforts, we’ve secured over £1 million. We still need urgent support however so we can finish what we’ve started and create much need new activities – a high ropes course, an assault course and new team work activities.
