Staff

Sue Hunt works as our Housekeeping Assistant at Hindleap Warren and has been at the Centre both part time and full time for the past 30 years.

As well as working at Hindleap part time, Sue has been a Teaching Assistant for 18 years. Sue is married and has three children, Emma, Laura and William. She is also a Grandma to Ciaran and loving ever minute of it! Sue plays the Sussex game of stoolball from April to August (she has a demon throwing arm if you're ever in the opposing team), enjoys going on holidays and would one day love to visit Canada. 

Suzanne Baldock is our Bookkeeper at Hindleap Warren and has worked at the Centre for three years.

Suzanne spent ten years running a small business and has an NVQ Level Three in Child Care and Education. She has advanced child protection training and 24 years of special educational needs training and experience. Suzanne is also an Association of Accounting Technician.

Sue Stringer works as our Housekeeping Assistant at Hindleap Warren and has been at the Centre for 11 years now.

Sue is a hobby farmer and has two working border collies called Minka and Tally. On her farm you will find four dairy goats and on average around 50 sheep throughout the year. Sue enjoys listening to music and spending time in her home and garden.

Graham Smith is our Senior Instructor at Hindleap Warren and has worked at the Centre for 25 years.

Before working at Hindleap, Graham was a Medic serving in the British Army. A local man, Graham visited Hindleap with his youth club before working at the Centre. He holds a number of outdoor qualifications, including Summer Mountain Leader, Single Pitch Award and British Canoe Union Level Three Kayak Coach. 

Dave Townsend is an Instructor at Hindleap Warren and has worked at the Centre for one and a half years.

Before joining the team at Hindleap, Dave worked for three years for an American summer camp as a watersports instructor. His qualifications include National Pool Lifeguard, Basic Expedition Leader, Royal Yachting Association Level One, Mountain Bike Leader and British Canoe Union Three Star in Canoeing. He has also completed a Foundation Degree in Outdoor Adventurous Activities.

Darren Wakeford is an Instructor at Hindleap Warren and has worked at the Centre since 2007.

The qualifications Darren has achieved to date are... his Single Pitch Award and Summer Mountain Leader plus Mountain First Aider. He is also a qualified Winter Mountain Leader.

John Williams is an Instructor at Hindleap Warren and has worked at the Centre for two years.

Alex Bryant is an Instructor at Hindleap Warren and has worked at the Centre for two and a half years.

Laura Hunt is an Instructor at Hindleap Warren and has been at the Centre for just over six years.

Before joining the team at Hindleap, Laura worked for 3D Adventures at Osmington Bay in Dorset. Her qualifications include the Grand National Archery Society Leader's Award, National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, Basic Expedition Leader Award and a current First Aid award. Laura specialises in delivering environmental education at Hindleap.

Tom Moran is an Instructor at Hindleap Warren and has worked at the Centre for five and a half years now.

Tom has spent ten years working in the outdoor sector. He spent a season working for Acorn Adventure in Mid Wales, two years at Robinwood Activity Centre in Yorkshire and Cumbria and one season working for Staffordshire County Council near Wolverhampton.
