Sandra Jarzebska
Sandra is our Assistant Programme Manager working in the London Youth Challenge Team, currently setting up an exciting summer programme for young people in Hackney, Haringey and Tower Hamlets. She joined London Youth in November 2011 through the Talent Programme and spent her first year working as a Programmes Assistant.
While studying for her Masters degree in Teaching English, Sandra started volunteering and tutored refugees and asylum seekers in the English language, during which she soon discovered her love for helping others and the value of informal education. Ever since, she kept herself busy by getting involved in a variety of community and charitable projects. Not that long ago, she was also involved in organising a music festival which raised £6,000 for Oxfam!
Previous to London Youth, Sandra also worked with young people through The Challenge and Orange RockCorps, where she coordinated innovative community projects, promoting the importance of volunteering to young people.
Always willing to give anything a go and experience new things, Sandra loves traveling, cycling and exploring the sights and sounds of London.
